Email Fraud

I don’t know if that is a real crime but I just got an email that smacks of the Nigerian 419 Scam. I replied to it, I hope to hear from Dr. Terry Williams soon reguarding my prize. Here is the text:

I got one too. Did you ever find out if it is fraud. I suspect it is. I googled his name and found this blog. Did anything good ever come from this email???

I am certain it was is fraudulent. The only question is if this person is going to follow up with me. So far he hasn’t.

Got mine today. Same questions. Oxfam is a legit organisation, but this does seem like a scheme. Will wait to find out if anything develops.

Ok, I did a little more research and contacted Oxfam US. They don’t know anything about this and they seem to think it’s fishy too. The originating e-mail address was from the domain boun.edu.tr, which is from Turkey.
I’m going to forward the e-mail to Oxfam International and let them deal with this garbage.
Hope this helps anyone else who gets it.
